Main actions planned for the Upper-Apennine area

• Assess the efficiency of a fish ladder for resolving the segregation factors, in order to encourage the dispersion of Cottus gobio;
• Actions to facilitate the growth of fish and invertebrate populations by creating suitable in-situ and ex-situ breeding sites;
• Improving the management of wetlands in the Plain, their water levels and lake shores;
• Expansion of the pSCIs "Lakes Suviana and Brasimone" (code IT4050020), in order to include important areas for the survival of the Austropotamobius italicus and Cottus gobio populations of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, as well as other important habitats and species of Community interest.
